Since 2020, Roden Barnyard Adventures has brought families together for old-fashioned Christmas fun. Their evening sleigh rides wind through hundreds of wooded acres adorned with thousands of twinkling lights. The sound of sleigh bells echoes as Wilbur and Clyde, the ranch’s beloved Percheron horses, pull guests through the snow. Each 25-minute ride is followed by time around the campfire or inside the heated barn to warm up with hot cider or cocoa. Visitors can bring snacks or their own beverages and spend time playing board games or chatting with friends. It’s an inviting, small-town tradition that blends the peaceful beauty of nature with the magic of the holidays—perfect for families, date nights, or group outings. If the snow is light, don’t worry—the experience continues aboard a festive wagon so every guest can enjoy the glow of the lights and the spirit of the season.

Itinerary

4:30 PM — Arrive 30 minutes before departure for check-in
5:00 PM — Meet Wilbur & Clyde, the Percheron team
5:05 PM — Depart on 25-minute ride through lighted woods
5:30 PM — Return to barn; feed and thank the horses
5:35 PM — Enjoy campfire, cocoa, and games inside the barn
6:00 PM — Evening concludes; browse the farm gift area

Price & Availability

Adults $49, Children (3–13) $29, under 3 free. Max 12 passengers per sleigh. Non-refundable unless canceled by operator for weather.

Food & Drink

Hot cider and cocoa available for purchase; guests may bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

Arrive 30 minutes early. Meet at Roden Barnyard Adventures, 5545 County Road Y, West Bend, WI. Parking onsite.

Restrictions

All ages welcome. Children under 3 ride free on lap. Not wheelchair accessible. Runs snow or shine (wagon used if no snow).
